Huaqiao University (HQU) has two campuses: one in Xiamen, a seaside city awarded the “UN Habitat Scroll of Honor Award”;

泉州校区地处东亚文化之都、中国首批历史文化名城——泉州市

the other in Quanzhou, the “Culture City of East Asia” and one of the first group of cities awarded “Chinese Famous Historical and Cultural City”.

HQU offers 11 academic disciplines including Economics, Management, Science, Engineering, Arts, Medicine, Education, and such.

HQU has 41 state or provincial key disciplines, among which Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science, Computer Science and Technology rank the top 5‰ of the ESI world ranking; Environment/Ecology and Social Sciences rankthe top 1% of the ESI world ranking.

有35个国家级一流本科专业建设点、17个省级一流本科专业建设点，22个专业通过国际及国内专业认证。

Among undergraduate programs, there are 35 national-level ones and 17 provincial-level ones. In addition, 22 programs have international and domestic professional accreditation.

国家地方联合工程研究中心、国家“111计划”学科创新引智基地、省部共建协同创新中心、教育部工程研究中心、虚拟教研室、虚拟仿真实验中心、实验教学示范中心等省部级以上教学科研平台100余个。

HQU has more than 100 provincial and ministerial teaching and research platforms, such as the National and Local Joint Engineering Research Center, the National "111 Plan" Subject Innovation and Intelligence Introduction Base, the Provincial and Ministerial Collaborative Innovation Center, the Engineering Research Center of the Ministry of Education, the Virtual Teaching and Research Room, the Virtual Simulation Experiment Center, the ExperimentalTeaching Demonstration Center, and so on.

HQU has signed cooperation agreements with more than 280 universities, research institutes and government departments in 44 countries/regions on five continents.

一、学校简介Introduction to HQU

华侨大学位于中国福建省厦门和泉州，创办于1960年。

Established in 1960, HQU is situated in Xiamen and Quanzhou, Fujian province, P.R.C.

学校以“面向海外、面向港澳台”为办学方针，秉承“为侨服务、传播中华文化”的办学宗旨，贯彻“会通中外、并育德才”的办学理念，形成了“一元主导、多元融合、和而不同”的校园文化。

Dedicated to recruiting students from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and abroad, HQU aims to serve the overseas Chinese and spread Chinese culture, committing itself to the school principle of Integration of Chinese Wisdom and Foreign Expertise, Unification of Moral Character and Professional Excellence. It boasts a unique campus culture of One-Culture Oriented, Multi-Culture Integrated, Diverse but Harmonious.

学校总占地面积210多万平方米，基础设施完善，实验室设备先进，具有内地高校一流的学生宿舍和“中国高校百家好食堂”。

Covering an area of more than 2,100,000 square meters, HQU is equipped with well-developed infrastructures, featuring advanced labs, first-class student accommodations and one of the “Best 100 Chinese University Student Restaurants”.

学校拥有篮球、足球、羽毛球、网球、游泳、攀岩等活动场地，建立了满足各类兴趣爱好的学生社团近100个，是海内外学子求学的圣地、成才的摇篮。

HQU offers grounds for various sports including basketball, football, badminton, tennis, swimming, rock climbing, and such. It has more than 100 student clubs that meet students’ various interests.

备注Notes：

1.大学预科班：设有文科和理科班，重点巩固和提升高中知识水平。完成学业，综合测评合格可直升我校本科专业。

Applicants should reach HSK Level 5 to be qualified for arts programs or arts and science programs. In principle, applicants should also reach HSK Level 5 to choose science programs. The HSK certificate is not required for Chinese Language, Chinese Language and Culture Education, English-medium programs, and Language Preparatory Program.

2.汉语预科班：汉语水平未达到本科专业录取条件的学生，按照“汉语+专业”培养体系，先修读汉语预科班，通过一学年强化学习，全面提升汉语水平、专业知识储备及跨文化交际能力，做好与国内教育的衔接，结业后合格的，可衔接本科专业学习。

Chinese Language Preparatory Programs:

Students whose Chinese proficiency do not meet the admission requirements for undergraduate programs will first attend Chinese Preparatory Programs according to the “Chinese + Major” programs. Through one year of intensive learning, students will comprehensively improve their Chinese proficiency, professional knowledge and cross-cultural communication skills, and have their admission into the undergraduate programs once graduated.

3.选读术科专业（音乐学、舞蹈学、体育教育、美术学、产品设计、视觉传达设计）的学生要求具有相应的专业基础，必要时将组织复核。

Pre-University Programs:

There are classes for Liberal Arts and Science, focusing on strengthening and improving high school knowledge. Students who finish their studies and pass the comprehensive assessment can be directly admitted to HQU for undergraduate programs.

4.术科专业、全英文教学专业（国际学院三个专业）的学生入学后不可申请转入其他普通类本科专业，其他普通本科专业学生入学后亦不可转入上述专业。

Applicants for the technical programs (including Musicology, Dance Studies, Physical Education, Fine Arts, Product Design, and Visual Communication Design) should have relevant skills. Extra technical tests will be arranged if necessary.

5.文史类和文理兼报专业须达到HSK5级或以上，理工类专业原则上须达到HSK5级。汉语言、华文教育、全英文教学专业、汉语预科班无HSK成绩要求。

Students of technical programs and English-medium programs (the three programs of the International School) are not allowed to transfer to other programs, and vice versa.

6.表格列出的为我校境外学生推荐就读专业，最终招生专业以报名系统可选专业及实际成班情况为准。学校为目录专业制定专门的培养方案，其他不在目录的专业，不专门编制境外生培养方案。

Above are the recommended programs for international students. Please refer to the admission application system to see the programs available. Special teaching syllabuses are designed for the above programs but not for other programs not listed.

7.学校部分专业实行“1＋3”两校区融合式培养，即第一学年及后续学年分别在不同校区学习。报到校区以学校最终安排为准。

Some programs above adopt “1+3” integrated talent cultivation across two campuses; that is, students spend the first and subsequent academic years in different campuses. Please refer to the final registration notice to check the registration campus.

三、招生办法Application Process

（一）报名条件Eligibility

凡高中毕业或具有高中同等学历，品行端正、身心健康、成绩优秀的外国留学生（持外国护照，且不能同时拥有中国国籍），年龄原则上不超过22周岁，均可报名。

International applicants (holding passports of foreign countries and shall not have Chinese nationality at the same time) should be no more than 22 years old, with a senior high school diploma or an equivalent, outstanding grades, good physical and mental health, good behavior, and a clean criminal record.

（二）入学方式 Ways of Admission

1.申请审核入学 Admission Application for International Students

具有海外高中学习经历并取得毕业证书的外国留学生，通过华侨大学境外生网上报名系统（https://admissions.hqu.edu.cn/）提交个人申请资料，经审核符合条件者予以录取。申请时间：即日起至2024年6月1日，未在规定时间内补充完整材料的，视为放弃申请资格。需提交的个人材料如下：

International students holding overseas high school diplomas shall submit personal application documents through the online application system (https://admissions.hqu.edu.cn/). Those who meet the requirements will be admitted after review. Application deadline: June 1st, 2024. Those failing to provide complete materials within the specified time will be regarded as giving up their application qualifications. Documents needed are as follows:

（1）在报名系统填写个人完整信息及有效联系方式。

Complete personal information and valid contact information in the application system.

（2）学生本人护照身份页（护照有效期应在2025年10月及之后）及一寸彩色免冠证件照（照片用于学籍注册，不得PS，不得遮挡眉毛耳朵等面部位置，电子版需为清晰的JPG格式文件）。

Passport ID page (passport validity should be on or after October 2025) and one-inch color photo in clear JPG format. The photo is for enrollment registration. Any retouch of the photo is not allowed. There shall be no covering of any facial parts including eyebrows, ears.

（3）经公证或认证的中文或英文高中及以上学历的毕业证书、境外高中各年级成绩单。上述材料原件如非中/英文，则须附上经正规翻译机构翻译为中文或英文翻译件并公证。

Notarized or certified high school (or above) diploma, annual academic transcripts of high school. If graduation certificates and transcripts are not in Chinese or English, please attach authenticated Chinese or English translations.

（4）生源国高中统考成绩或国际通行标准化测试成绩原件及翻译件，作为入学及奖学金认定依据。

Transcripts and corresponding translations of high school graduation examinations or UEC/A Level/AP/IB/SAT/ACT for reference.

（5）汉语水平考试（HSK）等级证书。

HSK Certificate.

（6）推荐信1封（由毕业高中学校、海外侨团、侨社、知名侨领或我校海外招生处主任推荐）。

Recommendation letter by applicant’s high school, overseas Chinese groups or communities, renowned overseas Chinese leaders, or overseas admission offices of HQU in the local countries.

（7）近半年体检材料。

Physical Examination Report (valid for 6 months).

（8）根据《教育部关于规范我高等学校接受国际学生有关工作的通知》（教外函〔2020〕12号）规定：

祖国大陆（内地）、香港、澳门和台湾居民在移居外国后的留学生，需提交①中国国籍或户籍注销证明；②加入外国国籍证明；③近四年出入境记录（截至2024年4月30日前）。

在外国出生即取得外国国籍的申请人，父母双方或一方为中国公民的，需提供①申请人出生即取得外国国籍证明；②申请人出生前父母（中国公民方）在外国的永久居留证明；③近四年出入境记录（截至2024年4月30日前）。

In accordance with Chinese Ministry of Education’s Regulations on Recruiting International Students for Higher Institutions, any applicant who has immigrated from China (including Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) to foreign countries should submit (a) Chinese nationality cancellation certificate; (b) Certificate of foreign nationality; (c) Entry and exit records for the latest 4 years (until before April 30th, 2024) issued by the Exit-Entry Administration Bureau. Any applicant who has acquired foreign nationality at birth because one or both of his/her parents are Chinese nationals settling abroad, should submit (a) Certificate of foreign nationality at birth; (b) Proof of permanent residence of his/her parents (Chinese citizens) in the foreign country before the applicant’s birth; (c) Entry and exit records for the latest 4 years (until before April 30th, 2024) issued by the Exit-Entry Administration Bureau.

2.考试入学 Entrance Examination for International Students

符合条件的学生可参加“暨南大学、华侨大学联合招收港澳台和华侨、华人及其他外籍学生入学考试”，报名网址https://lxlz.jnu.edu.cn。

International students can register to take the Joint International Admissions Examination by Jinan University and Huaqiao University for Hongkong, Macao, Taiwan, Overseas Chinese Students and Foreign Students. Please log on https: //lxlz.jnu.edu.cn/ to submit the application for examination.

报名时间为每年3月份，考试时间为每年5月份，以具体通知为准。

Registration for the examination is scheduled in every March, with examination started in May.

3.报到流程 Registration Process

（1）我校将及时审核学生报名材料，并将问题在报名系统上反馈。已录取的学生，可在报名系统上下载“录取通知函”。

HQU reviews the application documents and provides feedback through the application system. Students admitted can download the “Admission Notice” through the application system.

（2）我校为录取的学生发放录取通知书、JW202表等材料。

HQU issues Admission Notice, JW202 Form and other materials to students admitted.

（3）学生持相关材料到中国驻所在国使领馆办理X1学习签证。

International students should apply for X1 visa at Chinese Embassy/Consulate in the host country with the Admission Notice and JW202 Form.

（4）学生按录取通知书规定时间报到入学。

Students should register at the time specified in the Admission Notice.

注：新生入学后，我校有权利随时对其体检结果及个人身份条件进行复核，不符合入学规定的，我校将取消其入学资格。

Note: HQU reserves the right to review the physical examination report and qualifications of the applicants, and those who are unqualified will have their admission canceled.

四、学费及住宿费（以福建省物价部门最终审批为准）Tuition and Accommodation fees

（一）学费(币种：人民币，单位：元/人/学年)Tuition fees (per academic year, RMB)

1.我校本科课程采用学分制收费，具体收费情况根据学生实际选修学分计算；

Tuition fees are credit-based for undergraduate programs.

2.全英文教学专业的学生赴外期间按外方大学标准缴纳学费及住宿费，外方合作大学为项目学生提供一定的奖学金，奖学金额度以实际申请结果为准。

Students of English-medium programs pay the tuition and accommodation fees during their study in British/American universities according to the regulations of British/American universities which also offer students certain scholarships.

（二）住宿费(币种：人民币，单位：元/人/学年)Accommodation fees (per academic year, RMB)

（三）生活费用：膳食费每月约1500元人民币，视个人情况而定。

Living expenses are approximately 1,500 yuan per month, depending on the student.

（四）其它费用：代收教材费、保险费、体检等费用，详细清单待入学注册时告知，约为2000元左右。均以当年实际收取为准。

Other expenses including textbook fees, insurance fees, physical examination fees may amount to around 2,000 yuan. Students will be informed of other expenses when registering at HQU.

五、奖助学金体系SCHOLARSHIPS

新生入学可申请多类奖助学金，奖助学金覆盖面广。在校学习表现优秀的，可根据规定继续申请多种奖学金。奖学金如下：

International students can apply for various scholarships. Students with excellent academic performance may continue to apply for a variety of scholarships. Scholarships are as follows:
