近日，国际学院本硕直通国际班的师生们共同前往昆明市大团结民族文化创意中心，开展了本学期的第二次特色班会活动。本次特色班会的主题是学习中国传统金银首饰制作工艺——点翠。

Recently, teachers from the Faculty of International Educationled studentsof the Master Passway Programto participate in the second themed class meeting activity of this semester at the Kunming DatuanjieEthnic Cultural Creativity Center. The theme of this special class meeting was to learn about the traditional Chinese gold and silver jewelry making technique known as Diancui.

点翠工艺是一种融合了金属工艺与羽毛工艺的传统技艺，其精细的制作过程和独特的艺术美感深受人们喜爱。活动现场，师生们一同聆听了关于点翠工艺的历史渊源、制作技巧和文化内涵的讲解，对这项传统工艺有了更为全面的认识。

Diancui, a traditional craftsmanship that integrates metalwork with featherwork, is deeply loved by people for its intricate production process and unique artistic beauty. During the activity, teachers and students listened attentively to the explanations about the historical origins, craftsmanship, and cultural connotations of Diancui, gaining a more comprehensive understanding of this traditional craft.

点翠工艺，起源于汉代，在清代康熙，雍正，乾隆时期达到了顶峰。在点翠的制作过程中，匠人需用剪刀将翠鸟羽毛尖端蓝色的部分剪下，一片片贴在一起，组成与底托相符的形状。随后，在底托表面均匀抹胶并将羽毛贴在上面，最后还需对边缘进行修剪，以达到完美的效果。这种将自然之美与人工之巧完美结合的艺术形式，让师生们无不惊叹于中国传统工艺的精妙与神奇。

Originating from the Han Dynasty, Diancui reached its peak during the reigns of Emperor Kangxi, Yongzheng, and Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty. In the process of making Diancui, craftsmen use scissors to cut off the blue tips of kingfisher feathers and paste them together to form a shape that matches the base. Then, glue is evenly applied to the surface of the base, and the feathers are attached. Finally, the edges are trimmed to achieve a perfect effect. This artistic form, which perfectly combines the beauty of nature with the ingenuity of mankind, amazed teachers and students with the sophistication and magic of traditional Chinese craftsmanship.

然而，点翠工艺也面临着道德和法律的挑战。由于需要使用翠鸟的羽毛，这一传统工艺与野生动物保护之间产生了冲突。翠鸟作为国家保护的鸟类，其羽毛的使用受到了严格的限制。因此，现代点翠工艺也在传承中不断创新，尝试使用其他材料代替真正的翠羽，既保护了野生动物，又延续了传统文化的精髓。

However, Diancui is also facing ethical and legal challenges. As it requires the use of kingfisher feathers, this traditional craft conflicts with wildlife conservation. Kingfishers are protected birds in China, and the use of their feathers is strictly restricted. Therefore, modern Diancui craftsmanship is constantly innovating in inheritance, trying to use other materials to replace real kingfisher feathers, protecting wildlife while preserving the essence of traditional culture.

此次特色班会活动不仅让师生们领略了点翠工艺的独特魅力，更让他们深刻体会到了传统文化与现代社会的和谐共生。同学们纷纷表示，通过亲身参与和学习，他们对中国传统文化有了更加深厚的感情，也更加坚定了将来用英文讲好中国故事的决心。

This special class meeting activity not only allowed teachers and students to appreciate the unique charm of Diancui but also made them deeply understand the harmonious coexistence of traditional culture and modern society. The students expressed their determination to tell Chinese stories in English in the future with a deeper affection for traditional Chinese culture through personal participation and learning.
