Guangyan was founded in 2000. It is a full-time regular institution of higher learning approved by the People's Government of Guangdong Province and filed with the Ministry of Education, included in the national unified enrollment plan. Guangdong Asia Television Performing Arts College is located by the Xijiang River and at the foot of Xiangshan Mountain. The campus environment is beautiful and the climate is pleasant. At present, the school covers a total area of over 1,000 mu, with a building area of 379,700 square meters.
